Wow, time has certainly passed us by in a jiffy this year and in a blink of an eye, the first quarter of 2016 is nearly over. But before that happens, we’ve still got the Easter festivities to look forward to. With colourful chocolate eggs, cute rabbit-shaped desserts and egg hunts on the menu at the plethora of Easter-themed brunches and parties islandwide, we’re certainly spoilt for choice. Just check out the scintillating list we’ve put together for you below, all of which promise to offer an egg-cellent time on Easter Sunday (27 March, 2016)!

CAPELLA

For an island affair, head over to Capella Singapore where the hotel will present an Easter extravaganza featuring a Sunday brunch and Easter egg hunt (for the family) with great prizes including a one night stay in a one-bedroom garden villa and a Nespresso machine Easter Dessertsto be won. It also promises to be a gastronomic experience with guest chef Fabien Pairon featuring inspired creations of charcuterie and French fusion cuisine and a buffet offering Easter Pâté, Seven-hour Roast and Chicken Liver Mousse.

CATALUNYA

It will be a fun-filled Easter weekend at our favourite Spanish restaurant Catalunya. Enjoy authentic Catalan dishes such ascataeaster premium jamon iberico, a range of a la minute items like the bikini sandwich and Spanish tortilla and of course, not forgetting the restaurants’s signature suckling pig and paella presented with much fanfare. Fun and games are also on the menu with bingo for the adults and an activity pack for the kids.

GRAND HYATT SINGAPORE

Those looking for an alfresco experience should head to the hotel’s poolside restaurant for a hearty brunch that includes freshly-shucked oysters, grilled miso-glazed New Zealand king salmon and Australian beef rump steak, all prepared on their charcoal-fired grill. Kids get their own buffet line and will be delighted to find an afternoon of craft-work, face-painting and egg hunt awaits them.

HOTEL FORT CANNING

Set in an air-conditioned marquee, Hotel Fort Canning‘s Easter-themed brunch menu has highlights including a fresh seafood station, sous vide grass-fed striploin with garlic-herb crust, adorable bunny cookies and rabbit cake with the little ones given their very own kids’ station serving delights such as almond fish fingers and popcorn chicken. It promises to be an entertaining afternoon with easter bunny making an appearance, a kids ‘n crafts corner and the opportunity for families who dress up (the first 10 family units who arrive dressed as superheroes) standing to win movie hampers.

INTERCONTINENTAL SINGAPORE

Easter brunch at the hotel‘s Ash & Elm will offer a selection of seafood such as fresh-shucked oysters, live prawns and Boston lobster as well as specials in the form of lobster risotto and succulent roasts. Guests who wish to make the most of the Easter weekend can enjoy the special room package ($250++) that includes the hotel’s Heritage Trail, children’s activities in the afternoon, late check out and Easter turn down treats.

Marina Mandarin Singapore

As part of it’s Easter Sunday lunch promotion, AquaMarine at Marina Mandarin is offering Hazelnut Mousse filled Chocolate Eggs, as well as classic Hot Cross Buns at the dessert table. MANDARIN ORIENTAL

The hotel’s MELT ~ TheEaster Chocolate (2) World Cafe will be putting together a feast of European charcuteries, seafood, festive roasts, barbeque grill and an Easter egg station. While the adults indulge, the minis will be kept busy with egg hunting, egg painting while waiting for Easter bunny to make an appearance.

RITZ CARLTON

While mummies and daddies enjoy unlimited Möet & Chandon champagne and a selection of culinary delights such as crustaceans on ice, 30 different types of cheese, and delectable handcrafted Easter confections at ColonRitz Carlton Eastery, the little ones get to look forward to a guest appearance by Easter Bunny, an Easter egg hunt and other fun filled activities such as face painting and a bouncy castle. For a more casual affair, afternoon tea at Chihuly Lounge will feature champagne, canapés and Easter themed dessert served to the live beats of a DJ with Easter Bunny promising to make an appearance then as well.

Shangri La Easter 2

SHANGRI LA

Guests at Shangri La will find themselves transported to Wonderland as the hotel takes inspiration from the tale this Easter. At The Line, chef de cuisine Vincent Wong will bring the storybook character The Cook’s (who serves The Duchess lots of pepper in her soup) cuisine to life with peppery dishes such as black pepper crab, bak kut teh and pepper crab fried rice. Desserts-wise, expect charming creations the likes of the White Rabbit’s Pocket Watch Pastry, chocolate eggs and mango passion eggs. Minis can expect to enjoy a screening of Alice in Wonderland by Tim Burton, egg-and face-painting stations and a Golden Goose Egg Treasure Hunt.

SOFITEL SINGAPORE SENTOSA RESORT & SPA

The hotel’s ilLido at the Cliff will host an elegant Easter affair with a specially curated four-course brunch. The menu will feature Italian favourites such as Egg Milanese, Nettle & Cod Ravioli and Roasted Sea Bream all to be enjoyed over gorgeous views of the South China Sea. For the minis, a host of fun-filled activities await them including a traditional Easter Egg Hunt across the resort’s garden, a children’s room complete with a balloon twisting session, magic show and egg-painting contest.

W SINGAPORE

Catch the island sun at W Singapore’s Easter extravaganza at the hotel’s Kitchen Table. Delights such Puerto Rican style skirt steak, 24-hour cooked spice leg of lamb and freshly shucked oysters hit the menu with promises of Easter-themed activities for the little ones (an egg hunt included).

12.30pm to 2.30pm and 3pm to 5pm, $188 per person (inclusive of free flow Taittinger Champagne, wines and cocktails) and $78++ per child (aged six to 12). 

THE WESTIN SINGAPORE

This is one for those who appreciate a good view. Westin Singapore’s Easter brunch offers delights such as homemade ham hock and terrines, slow-roasted prime ribs, fresh crustaceans and sashimi overlooking a lovely vista. Easter favourites in the form of a Profiterole Easter Garden, chocolate eggs and bunnies are also on the menu. The young ones will be able to get their creative juices flowing with easter egg painting, easter bunny colouring and have fun in an easter egg hunt with attractive prizes to be won.

THE WHITE RABBIT

With its picturesque setting and an al fresco bar appropriately named The Rabbit Hole, The White Rabbit has gone all out this Easter with a special feast including slow-cooked lamb rump, seafood pot-au-few, fresh lobsters and raw oysters for the adults and an English Breakfast bar and sweet treats for the kiddos. The garden will also feature a bouncy castle and candy floss — talk about fun!
